Dear pupils!
Dear guests!

Welcome to East Kazakhstan State University named after Sarsen Amanzholov, one of the leading universities of the country.

Good afternoon, dear distinguished school graduates and colleagues!

The East Kazakhstan State University named after Sarsen Amanzholov is a large modern educational, scientific and cultural center in the eastern region of the republic for more than 60 years.

The East Kazakhstan State University is a leader of European and Kazakhstan rankings of higher educational institutions: the 7th among the best multidisciplinary universities in Kazakhstan in the general rating of 2015. The University is included in the "Top-35" of the best enterprises of the year and awarded the honorary title of "Industry Leader".

Every year the University produces more than two thousand highly qualified specialists of various profiles, which are trained at 4 faculties in 49 bachelor's specialties, 33 master's degrees and 3 doctoral studies.

The university employs more than 400 highly qualified teachers, including 19 doctors of science and more than 150 candidates of science and doctors Phd.

Teachers of the East Kazakhstan State University are holders of the state grant "The best teacher of the university", a state scholarship for talented young scientists, a grant from the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The educational and research work of the University is currently carried out on the basis of the Test Center for Physical and Chemical Research, the National Scientific Laboratory for Collective Use, the UNIC«Ecology» , the Scientific and Educational Center «Nazarbayevtanu», REC«Zyatker» , RC «Altaytanu» , Technology Commercialization Office, Qualification Confirmation Center and many other scientific centers and laboratories.

In scientific research, students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the university actively participate. On the basis of scientific laboratories, students, undergraduates go through training and production practices, prepare graduate work and master's dissertations, are executors of scientific grant projects. They acquire professional competencies necessary for work at non-ferrous metallurgy enterprises, the National Nuclear Center in Kurchatov, and the education system of the region.

As a result, we get a competitive specialist who is ready to participate in the implementation of state programs for industrial and innovative development of the country.

The EKSU actively cooperates with foreign universities, educational and research-and-production centers, cultural development agencies, etc. The university's partners include the leading universities of the near and far abroad countries. Currently, the university is implementing more than 90 agreements on international cooperation with countries in Europe, Asia, the CIS and America, the main areas of which are joint projects, exchange programs for students and scientists.

The university, on the basis of cooperation agreements, facilitated the opening of the Abai Center in foreign universities in the Altai State Technical University (Barnaul) and the Ili Pedagogical University in China.

Together with the leading foreign universities there are programs of "two-diploma education" with the University of CANNAM, Korea and a number of Russian and Polish universities.

Today the university firmly positions itself as a leader of the youth movement and youth initiatives. The victories of students in international and republican Olympiads, debates tournaments, the Universiade for winter sports, sports victories at national and international competitions increase the glory of the university.

Youth regional music festivals, holidays, actions are just a small part of the events, where university students take part. Our students - prize-winners of the regional competition - the festival "Student Spring" and the owners of the Cup "The most creative and dance floor". During the training, students acquire skills and abilities to actively participate in public life, develop creative abilities, demonstrate their civic position through participation in the volunteer movement, construction student detachments, "Zhasyl El" detachments, act as candidates for deputies of different levels.

I am confident that despite the crisis in the economy behind the university, there remains a great future in the region and in the republic.

I will cite one simple, well-known and economically easy-to-trace fact: independently of any crises in the country and in the world, the process of obtaining higher education is going on without additional financial investments and difficulties if the education is carried out where your hometown, home and family are. Choosing education in the eastern region, you make investments in preserving and multiplying the capital of your parents.

Dear school graduates, colleagues!

Achievements of students and teachers of the University, the transition to poly-linguistics, the introduction of a smart university, the development of innovative techniques and work techniques will be multiplied by you - today you are schoolchildren, and tomorrow - students of a modern innovation university in the east of the country.

Dear school graduates! There is a very important task ahead of you. It is a profession. And the choice of profession is to choose your future. So I wish you success in choosing our future!
